Hello! My name is Laima
I work in a small studio in my home, surrounded by crystals, pearls and various beads from around the world. I am simplistic human, active and demanding both for myself and others. I have never been involved in just one activity or job. Often, I am here, there and everywhere!
My greatest values are individuality, respectfulness, punctuality and responsibility. I admire the artistic people because they are original both inside and out, and it is not a secret that, the outside should be aesthetic and attractive… and here I am to help you!
My real profession is the clothing technician – designer. So the jewellery development activity is quite close to this. I had an opportunity to work as a clothing technologist – designer, as well as an interior designer, curtain designer and similar ventures. As can be seen, the art and design have attracted me all the time. But there were always additional activities alongside. However, I feel that jewellery design puts me into a state of flow, it’s my greatest purpose.
I have a vision that one day Touch of Luxury becomes a successful jewellery business having a loyal customer base around the globe, creating connections with people and simply celebrating beauty!
Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.
How it all started
THE BIRTH OF TOUCH OF LUXURY
I found my love for jewellery a long time ago. I’ve always wanted to wear handmade jewellery with the idea of being different. In addition, I heartily admire brave women who wear unique jewellery and clothes, because it solely shows the sharp personality of a person and a strong and clear opinion. Finally, it’s the courage to be yourself!
So I constantly bought this jewellery and started to think to myself: “But, it’s made by hand, after all.. !?” Besides, there was a moment when motivational literature came to the fore, and it pushed me towards the dream of creating jewellery myself as I have always been sure that this would be mission impossible. But I realised that sometimes you’ve just got to take a chance and dive in!
I decided to try to create something and it went really good. I started selling jewellery pieces to my friends later. At the celebration, I didn’t go with the flower bouquet, but with jewellery I crafted by hands, wearing it as an accent, which could pleasantly surprise others …. and it worked! I noticed that the guests were impatiently waiting to see “What’s this time?” I feel really rewarded when the face of a person lits up by seeing my jewellery.
Eventually, this has become my passion. And what can be better than working a job that gives inner peace, pleasure and beauty to yourself and others?
Stimulus, to make one or another piece of jewellery, come randomly and unexpectedly. Sometimes I just feel that I want colours. In other times I take a handful of crystals and combine them, then leave it for a while, usually until the next day. I follow the tendencies as well – for example, what’s fashionable, what colours are on the wave. I am pretty enthusiastic about Dolce & Gabanna style. It’s a luxurious brand and their embroidery enchants me greatly.
